How billing works

Is Matchday XI free?: Yes. Predicting your club's starting XI, every leaderboard, the daily trivia and private leagues are free for everyone. Pro and Pro Max are optional, and they never give extra points or a better place on any leaderboard.
Is there a free trial?: Yes, 14 days of Pro or Pro Max, one per person. A card is needed (in Nigeria we check it with a ₦100 charge that is refunded straight away). We remind you by email and in the app 3 days before the trial ends, and if you cancel before then you pay nothing.
How does renewal work?: Plans renew automatically at the end of each month or year, charged to the card you saved, until you cancel. We remind you 3 days before a trial ends and before every yearly renewal. The price you see is the price you pay: payment fees are ours, never added on top.
How do I cancel?: In one tap on your Profile, at any time. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, then it doesn't renew. Nothing more is charged.
Can I get a refund?: Cancelling stops future payments; there are no partial refunds for the rest of a month or year already started. Where the law gives you a right to cancel within 14 days (for example in the UK and the EU), you get a full refund if you cancel in that time. If you were charged by mistake, write to support@matchdayxi.app and we will put it right.
What if a payment fails?: Your plan keeps working for 7 days while we try the card again. If it still fails, your account goes back to Free; nothing you've played is lost.
What happens to my leagues if my plan ends?: Leagues over the free plan's limits are paused, never deleted, and their members are told beforehand. They come back the moment you subscribe again.
How do I pay?: In Nigeria, in naira by card, bank transfer or USSD, through Paystack, a licensed payment provider. Everywhere else, by card or PayPal through Lemon Squeezy, which sells the subscription to you as our reseller (the merchant of record), shows the price in your local currency and handles your country's sales tax or VAT. Either way, your card number goes to them, never to us. The prices on this page are the ones for your country.
